Rare jacaranda desk with return by Jorge Zalszupin (1922-2020) for L’atelier, Brazil, 1960s.
A bold simple design with graceful lines, which displays the designer’s exceptional sense of detail and his knowledgeable use of local woods. A very collectible desk offered at an attractive price.

Brazilian architect and designer Jorge Zalszupin is noted for modern design. In the 1950s Zalszupin founded L’Atelier, a furniture design manufacturer in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Zalszupin’s designs were included by Oscar Niemeyer in the Palácio da Alvorada and the Palácio do Planalto.
Good condition. Desk has been re-oiled. Good colour to wood throughout.
